Helping People Get Healthy Really Pays Off
February 19th, 2011 by adminUtopia Resident Wins Luxury Cruise in National Challenge by Isagenix
Chandler, AZ (PRWEB) February 19, 2011
Utopia, Ontario resident Krysta Chapman is helping friends and neighbors get healthier by coaching them on replacing destructive eating habits with healthy ones. Chapman says North America’s obesity & health epidemic prompted her to make a change in her own lifestyle. Chapman has lost 22 pounds and feels better than ever before. As if that weren’t reward enough, she also won a free luxury Caribbean cruise.
Krysta Chapman who is a Mindset Coach & Change Strategist with http://www.DropinthePond.com , works with individuals to eliminate blocks or limitations such as such as fears, negative thoughts/beliefs and guilt. “When some of my clients wanted my opinion on this system, I was dedicated to learning as much as I could.” Chapman says she realized that she could be setting a better example through her own lifestyle and tried the program herself. “As someone who believes in lifestyle design including healthy choices, time freedom and wealth, I feel I should be part of the solution by helping others- not a part of the problem,” says Chapman.
According to the Center for Disease Control, obesity is defined as a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater. BMI is calculated from a person’s weight and height and provides a reasonable indicator of body fat percentage and weight categories that may lead to health problems. Obesity is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, certain types of cancer, and type 2 diabetes. The World Health Organization says that 700 million adults will be obese in 2015, up nearly double from 400 million in 2005.
“People are attracted to Isagenix because they want to improve their health, have more energy, lose weight and we offer systems that produce quick, visible results you can maintain,” said Jim Coover, Isagenix President and CEO. “Not only do our products work, but we also offer customers the chance to create their own economy with their own business and generate a very lucrative income by referrals. Our numbers are a direct reflection of how we’ve been able to impact everyday people by offering them greater health and wealth.”
Chapman was recognized in the company of her peers within the worldwide network of Isagenix Independent Associates at its annual New Year Kick Off conference in Phoenix on January 29, 2011. Chapman, who earned a free luxury cruise to the Western Caribbean for being one of the top 15 finalists in a national recruitment campaign hosted by Isagenix, was among thousands of people who entered the challenge, which encouraged participants to help others transform their health using its all-natural products that involve an exclusive nutritional cleansing and replenishing approach.

Caught on camera
January 13th, 2011 by adminLast year I did a presentation on Trauma & Recovery, and I spoke about how we can shift our painful experiences by paying attention to our process of thought. This was just a brief video that captured a bit of the purpose I live out through Drop in the Pond and the work/ creative exploring I do.
Maybe next year…
January 2nd, 2011 by adminThe economy will be going gangbusters
Your knowledge will reach critical mass
Your boss will give you the go ahead (and agree to take the heat if things don’t work out)
Your family situation will be stable
The competition will stop innovating
Someone else will drive the carpool, freeing up a few hours a week
There won’t be any computer viruses to deal with, and
Your neighbor will return the lawnmower.
Then…
You can ship, you can launch your project, you can make the impact you’ve been planning on.
Of course, all of these things won’t happen. Why not ship anyway?
[While others were hiding last year, new products were launched, new subscriptions were sold and new companies came into being. While they were laying low, websites got new traffic, organizations grew, and contracts were signed. While they were stuck, money was being lent, star employees were hired and trust was built.
Most of all, art got created.
That's okay, though, because it's all going to happen again in 2011. It's not too late, just later than it was.]

I’ll procrastinate until tomorrow’s a new day…
December 15th, 2010 by adminOne of my facebook posts recently generated a number of private messages and inquiries. The gist of it was this:
For those of you who procrastinated and put things off until AFTER school was back in, who stayed as you were until AFTER Thanksgiving, who waited until AFTER things improve, who didn’t make time until AFTER Halloween, won’t usually start it until AFTER the weekend, who won’t have time until AFTER the company leaves or can’t do anything until AFTER you feel better, was it worth the wait? Every one of those days are gone now. History. Are you putting yourself first now - or still procrastinating until AFTER?
Apparently it hit a nerve with many. Triggers are great like that - we resonate with something we hear, or feel the same way when we can relate. There is always an opportunity to explore or do something about your reactions if you are so inclined. However, you could also wait until the next time.
You see, even when the chance to rise above our own dust and brush ourselves off comes along, most people have subtle beliefs and fears or conflicts that keep them planted where they are. It takes risk to move out of our comfort zone. Procrastination is most definitely a comfort zone. I had a client actually describe his ‘lack of motivation’ as though he was laying in a luxurious bed on a weekend morning but the heat in the room is off. With the white down comforters pulled up to his chin and the temperature between the flannel sheets so pleasantly warm, it’s no wonder he wasn’t interested in flinging back the covers and putting his feet on the floor!
That is until he gets hungry enough.
Or bored.
Or someone does it for him because he’s dead.
Or lonely.
Or curious about why it’s cold in the room.
Human experience includes evolution. It includes time, distances, modes and rates of change or speed. Build in the things that are important to you (or at the very least figure out what they are), because it is up to you to decide which element you want to impact or explore or kick to the curb to get the results you want. Or not.
Enjoy the Process
November 22nd, 2010 by adminExcerpt from True Prosperity~How to have everything, By Yehuda Berg.
"The Light has a request: It asks that you enjoy the process. Connecting to the light is like taking part in a movie that is guaranteed to have a happy ending. Even as the storms rage and the bad guys attack, you play your part, but inside you’re not worried. That’s because you know you’re going to end up defeating the villains and walking into the sunset with Julia Roberts or Brad Pitt on your arm.
As boss, you know the key: When the challenges arise, you’re responsible. You know that you are the cause, not the effect. So the first time trouble raises its head, you don’t rush headlong into victim consciousness. Indeed, it never even enters your mind to say, "The universe is punishing me!" Instead, you embrace your problems. You see them as opportunities to achieve greatness by confronting the Competitor and overcoming the challenge that faces you.
Light consciousness lets you enjoy the process. Who cares if there’s a setback at this particular moment in time? You see the Big Picture, and it looks good.
You don’t have to get overly excited when things are going well or, conversely, tumble into depression when they aren’t Enjoy yourself, and the universe will open up. Set goals that keep you excited, and don’t hesitate to change them along the way. Recognize that while the Competitor put a system in place to bring us down, that force is also an opportunity to push back up and become the cause of our own movement forward.
In Light consciousness, we seek happiness from a position of happiness, not from the need to get happy. In other words, your not filling an empty space; you’re already complete, and your work is an expression of that completeness.
There’s only one investment we need to make, and only one thing we need to sacrifice- and that is our ego. But don’t worry, the ego is just an illusion anyway."

A participant’s perspective…
November 20th, 2010 by adminLast week I presented on a couple of my favourite topics to a small group of dynamic business women. I was delighted to receive this recap from the organizer’s perspective and wanted to share it with you - oftentimes the words of another can be even more useful than my own in retelling useful lessons.
………………………………………………………..
I just wanted to take a moment of your time to share with you what I got out of attending the last Women with Vision Networking Luncheon.
I asked a new friend of mine to be our guest speaker. Krysta Chapman is a NLP Practitioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming)- www.dropinthepond.com Krysta is a Change Strategist and Personal Development Trainer.
The topic Krysta spoke on was " Self Concept " . Something I don’t typically think of on a day to day basis . Yet is certainly a tool, moving forward I will review on an on going basis.
Out of this conversation I got that my Self Concept is directly correlated to my Self Esteem. If my self concept aligns with how I operate in my life , then
it is natural that my self esteem will be high, and vice versa. If my Self Concept does not align with how I operate in life , then my self esteem will be low….
Krysta asked the group to grade the importance of confidence on a scale from 1-10 - well we all know that confidence in ourselves is incredibly important and rates as a 10.
Then she asked us to grade where our confidence is. I graded myself , on an overall average of being 6-7. Most of the ladies attending did the same. We could clearly then see that there is a gap between what we think it should be and how we actually see ourselves. This was one exercise that brought awareness to where our self concept actually sits.
How did this make a difference for me ? Now I can look at what I need to do to bridge that gap - do I want to be confident 100% of the time… absolutely I do… especially in the areas
of life that are important to me.
Another very powerful conversation we had was about our Belief System . This is huge. Our belief system can make or break what we want to accomplish and achieve in our life.
What we think of ourselves is crucial to how effective we are. I took a moment to "think" about what my belief system ( from my past experiences) truly is in the area of business.
I saw that my Belief System goes like this…
- graduate school and get a job ( go work for someone)
- running a business is too difficult and complicated
- I don’t know how to run a business
- I need a degree
Now, I’m not knocking working for someone at all. I did it for 25 years of my life and it worked just great. My belief system about working for someone else aligned with how I was operating in life.
Now that I’m entertaining the possibility of being a business owner I can clearly see that my "Belief System" does not align with owning and running a business. This is very powerful knowledge to have. I see that I need to transform my belief system to be conducive to how I want to operate in life.
Our wonderful brains are rigged or designed to constantly reinforce and provide proof or evidence to support our beliefs. My "thinker" will constantly provide evidence that I can’t run a business and will not allow me to move forward.. it will keep me stuck…. Well - let me tell ya… the gigs up !!!
Now that I’m clearly aware of how dis-empowering my beliefs are, I can see there is a huge gap or disconnect. I now have the choice to keep honouring those thoughts or creating a powerful context and relationship to my beliefs that will bridge the gap of being a business owner.
Will this take some effort and discipline ? . … aaah yah !!! it most certainly will. Every time one of those dis-empowering beliefs pops up in my thoughts I will replace it with a new empowering thought. Eventually the old belief system will be replaced by the new powerful and inspiring belief system. Totally worth it !!!
This is my new Belief System :
- I am able and capable
I got so much value from attending this luncheon and I "believe" that everyone that attended did too. I invite those who attended to share what they got and how it made a difference in your life.
It is my intention to bring in speakers that will move us forward in our journey’s, to empower, inspire and have us grow in mind , body and spirit.
I thank you for taking the time to read this email - I hope it brought value to your life and I look forward to seeing you at the next Women with Vision Wasaga Beach Networking Luncheon.
I want to thank Krysta for taking the time to make a difference in 10 very dynamic ladies lives .
Cheers

This story is dated, yet I only now received a copy of it and thought I would share it with you….
"…The Whale…
If you read headlines online, you may have seen this front page story of the San Francisco Chronicle.
You would have read about a female humpback whale who had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines.
She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line tugging in her mouth.
A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farallon Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed an environmental group for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so bad off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her.
They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her. When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, and nudged them, pushed them gently around as she was thanking them.
Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives.
The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth said her eyes were following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.
May you, and all those you love, be so blessed and fortunate to be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you. And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude.
I pass this on to you, my friends, in the same spirit.
It’s a good life!"

Joanne and her accident
October 14th, 2010 by adminIt had been several months since she had gotten her car back - repaired and shiny again. However, Joanne was noticing that the panic attacks she had been having ever since the accident were getting worse, and they were happening more often.
In fact, Joanne had not been able to drive herself anywhere for the past 4 weeks because as soon as she was behind the wheel, her heart rate increased, her vision blurred, a cold sweat came over her and her breathing became difficult. When driving a car or in any circumstance this is incredibly frightening and debilitating.
She had been to her doctor who had prescribed antidepressants and he had advised in a matter of fact tone that she was having panic attacks. She didn’t find that particularly helpful because all that she wanted was to have them STOP. His suggestion for counseling was quite typical; unfortunately our family physicians are stretched to the limit and are simply not aware of all of the different options people have to aid them in their struggles. They also don’t have information or resources to be able to offer direct assistance when the person requires more specialized intervention or care, nor should they be expected to!
Joanne had heard through a friend that I might be able to offer her some options and so she came to see me (after finding someone to bring her to the office.)
I have seen a number of people who suffer through anxiety and panic attacks and some have lived with them for years. There is such a stigma around a person’s ’strength’ and ‘inability to just get over it’ that many times a person become very isolated in their embarrassment as well.
Joanne and I took some time to explore the characteristics and the different aspects of her physiological experience and her thought processes before, during and after an ‘incident’ as she referred to them. As we did so, I began pointing out similarities in her patterns to other areas of her life that she struggled with. Sometimes when we have a ‘problem’ in one area it replicates itself in another context like simple decision making or being in relationship with a ‘particular personality type’.
Joanne was grateful for the insight but from my perspective we were only beginning. I then helped her to explore some of the fundamental triggers and needs that were at the base of her panic - which for the interest of someone who has never explored in this way before, had very little to do with the accident that seemed to cause them in the first place. The accident was a useful time for them to manifest in a very uncomfortable experience for Joanne though!
We worked together for a total of 3 sessions, with the final being mainly for follow up. Joanne was thrilled to have ‘gotten over’ her panic attacks and felt as though a load had been lifted from her. She now has new patterns and skills that she can apply in future scenarios that used to previously cause her fear and discomfort.
