Weight Loss Plateaus
Weight Loss is a topic that everyone knows about, thinks about , works on, struggles with, succeeds at, and cries over. I often work with people who recognize how important our mindset is with regards to success in achieving a healthy body.
One reason people will come in to see me is because they have hit a 'plateau' sometimes clients refer to a plateau as occuring before they even start! I explore some of the possible psychological aspects of their current weight and we also explore secondary gains and losses to the changes the client thinks they want to make.
Once we understand some of the unconscious patterns or processes that are in place keeping the client 'plateaued' we can then explore options for change that also impact behaviour and actions.
